Campsite Rules

Our Campsite Rules are here to keep Bridgend safe, peaceful and enjoyable for everyone.

Arrival and departure

The campsite is open from Monday 15 March 2027. Our last overnight stays are on Saturday 31 October 2027, and the campsite closes on Sunday 1 November 2027.

Arrivals are from 13:30 to 20:00.

Early arrivals interrupt our lunch and will be asked to leave.

In September and October, as Bridgend intentionally has minimal lighting, we would appreciate guests planning to arrive before sunset where possible.

Please check the pitch-allocation noticeboard just inside the gate when you arrive.

Departure is by 11:30.

Day visitors

Day visitors are by prior arrangement only, must leave by 18:00, and are charged at £5 per person. This includes use of campsite facilities.

Unapproved visitors will be asked to leave the campsite.

Respect for the campsite and other guests

Bridgend is a small, peaceful campsite. Please be considerate to other campers at all times.

Keep noise to a reasonable level and to a minimum between 22:00 and 08:00.

Generators and the running of vehicle engines while parked are not permitted on site.

Behaviour and rule breaches

Abusive, threatening, aggressive or discriminatory behaviour towards us, other guests or our neighbours will not be tolerated.

We may require anyone behaving in this way, or seriously breaching these Campsite Rules, to leave immediately. Where circumstances allow, we will first explain the issue and give the guest an opportunity to put it right.

Children

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, including when using the play area and campsite facilities.

Dogs and other pets

Well-behaved dogs and other pets are welcome.

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
  • Dogs must be comfortable around people and other dogs.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the toilet blocks.
  • Please exercise dogs off site, clear up after them and use the dog-waste bin on the forest track.

Guests who cannot follow these rules may be asked to leave the site.

Smoking and vaping

No smoking or vaping in public areas.

Barbecues and fires

Log burners, open fires and fire pits are not permitted.

Charcoal barbecues may be used for cooking only. They must be raised off the grass and kept a safe distance from tents, motorhomes, caravans and vehicles. Bricks are available beside the elsan point for disposable barbecues.

Please place used disposable barbecues and cooled coals on the ground to the left of the bins. Do not place them in the bins.

During periods of wildfire risk, all barbecues may be prohibited.

Fireworks and sky lanterns are not permitted anywhere on site.

Electric and hybrid vehicles

Electric and hybrid vehicles must not be charged from on-pitch electric hook-ups.

Standard pedal-assist e-bikes may be charged from on-pitch electric hook-ups.

We have three designated EV chargers available, managed using a QR code.
